For Meg...

A couple of days ago a beautiful woman by the name of Bella gave me three blog awards, I am so very touched Bella thank you and as I told her, I was so excited because I'd never been given a blog award before. Then another gorgeous, wise woman, Jena Strong, gave me a gift of another blog award which just happened to be the same as one of the ones Bella had given me. Thank you dear Jena. Anyway here they are, of course you can also see them on the right hand side of my blog!

Anyway I now wish to give them to someone who deserves them, she especially fits the courageous blogger awards, she is a courageous women, also her blog is an absolute treasure as is she, her writing exquisite, she gives voice to feelings and thoughts so beautifully and with such clarity and heart. She has become very dear to me, we email each other everyday sometimes more and we discuss everything and anything. We have bonded and I feel as though I have known her all my life. She is very dear to me and I am honored to be able to pass these awards on to her with love and thanks for her friendship and support. Love you Meg, take care. Thank you Bella and Jena for giving them to me to allow me to give them away to someone else who deserves them. We will talk soon, much love to all who have been so supportive and wonderful the past few days. I am in awe and touched beyond what I can say at the moment. Take good care and I will post again very soon.

  1. Jen,
Thanks for coming over to my blog.
Your little boy is just too darn cute for words! Such beautiful eyes! I have an 8 yr old boy who holds my heart in his hands too...
I have been thinking of you so much ever since I came onto your blog yesterday. I am going to visit you often...

  2. Dear Jen,

I found your site through Alexandra at Silver Bell Cottage. What you are going through is absolutely unfathomable to me and many I know. I am deeply touched by your amazing courage and strength. I saw your challenge to list what one would do if they found out they had 12 months to live and it's something I will ponder. I hope that you can get all the support you need to carry you through the next year. You are in my prayers... You are beautiful... You are amazing. May many wonderful, beautiful blessings flow to you in abundance. I will be back to check in.

Love to you and your family...

  3. You deserve them all, and more.
And I am so happy for the friendship you have found with Meg.

  4. Thanks for stopping by Jen.
I love seeing the date on your posts. I guess the little girl in me thinks it's still pretty cool that someone can be a whole day ahead of the rest of's always the little things for me!

Your friendship with Meg is beautiful. Do you think you will ever meet in real life?

One of my dear friends started as just a blogger friend and we did get to meet last year and it was fabulous....granted, she is only 3 hours from me, but what a gift to have someone new in my life that I could actually hug.

Your little guy has the most beautiful eyes I've ever seen...they just draw you in and engulf you.

Good thoughts just left me and they're on their way to you.

  5. Congratulations on your awards.
Arnt there some just fab people out there in blogging land?

  6. Thank you dear Jen. These mean so much.
Hugs to you. Now lets see if this one techno-phobe can actually figure out how to get them up on her blog!

  7. I wrote a post about what my last twelve months would be like. You inspired me. Thank you for that gift.

  8. I just found your blog through Jen Lemen's, and although I don't know you, I want you to know that I'm sending you love and positive energy from afar. No one else can ever know what you're going through, but I hope it helps a little to know that others are thinking of you and wishing you peace.

  9. Dear Jen, we have come to your blog though our friends Natasha Burns and Alexandra at Silver Belle Cottage. Jen we cannot even begin to understand what you are going through. You are a brave and gorgeous woman and we are deeply moved by your courage and your story. Our prayers are with you Jen and if you ever feel like a bit of escapism, come over for a visit to our Blog, we are Melbourne girls too. You are welcome with open arms. Jenn and Jacqui

  10. Thinking of you this morning.
It's freeeezing here, with wind whipping snow around... and I'm hoping you're tucked in nice and warm!

  11. Jen,

I found you through Bella and Jena Strong, two women whose writing matches their compassion and integrity.

As I read your blog and view your lovely and touching photos, I am so struck by how authentic, honest and kind you are. While still raw from your news, you are reaching out to others and asking them questions that will make them view their lives with more intention and attention. That, to me, is remarkable and amazing. You are a true find, and I can see why your friend Meg calls you "the real deal." You are.

I would pray for courage and grace for you, but you already have those in spades. I'll just pray that you'll know each day that you're deeply loved for exactly who you are.

    Much love,

  12. Jen - the connections you have invited into your life and heart through your writing, your friendships, and your sharing are a blessing to all of us.

    xo Jena

  14. Hi Jen, I found you via Periwinkle and am so touched to read your story. Breaks my heart to imagine what you're going through. That you are making your life the most meaningful you can with what you have inspires me more than I can say. I'm sending you hugs warm and strong, from the other side of the world. 15. You absolutely deserve those awards.
